Our Service Dog Registry provides a simple way for businesses, landlords, or anyone else to confirm that a dog is registered by its handler.
This verification process is not government-issued — it is a tool to make everyday interactions easier.
🐾 Step 1: Dog Registration
- Handlers create an account and register their service dog.
- Each dog profile includes the handler’s name, the dog’s name, and an optional photo.
- Our team reviews and approves registrations before certificates are issued.
📄 Step 2: Certificate & Wallet Card
- Once approved, handlers receive:
- A printable PDF certificate
- A wallet-sized card for quick reference
- Both documents include a unique verification code and QR code.
🔎 Step 3: Public Verification
- Anyone can visit our Verify Page: Verify a Service Dog
- Enter the dog’s unique code OR scan the QR code on the certificate/card.
- The verification page will show:
- Dog’s name
- Handler’s name (if the handler made it public)
- Photo of the dog (if uploaded and allowed)
- Status: Approved, Pending, or Expired
✅ Why This Matters
- Handlers: Avoid repeated arguments when questioned about your service dog.
- Businesses: Quickly confirm without prying into private medical information.
- Landlords: Reduce confusion about housing laws and service animal status.
⚖️ Legal Reminder
Under the ADA, businesses may not require documentation or certification for a service dog.
Our registry is a voluntary tool created to reduce conflict and provide peace of mind — it is not a legal requirement.
